Each Menai & Co. candle is hand-poured with a premium soy wax made from U.S.-grown soybeans. Plant-based and formulated without added dyes, paraffin, palm wax, or coconut wax, it creates a smooth, even melt pool and dependable burn performance.
We use premium, phthalate-free fragrance oils that comply with applicable IFRA Standards for their intended use. These science-based standards draw on established fragrance-safety research and set ingredient restrictions and concentration limits according to the type of product and expected exposure. Select fragrances may also contain essential oils, chosen for the character and depth they contribute to the finished composition.
Braided, lead-free cotton wicks are carefully matched to each candle to support a steady flame, balanced melt pool, and minimal visible soot when burned as directed. Every candle is finished in an amber glass vessel with tactile labeling, reflecting the restrained, enduring design that defines Menai & Co.
From the wax and fragrance to the wick and vessel, every element is selected with purpose—creating a candle that is thoughtfully formulated, dependable, and beautifully refined.
Candle Care & Safety Guidelines
To ensure a safe, clean, and elegant burn, the following practices must be observed at all times:
• Trim the Wick – Trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch before each use to maintain a steady flame and minimise soot.
• Never Leave Unattended – Burn candles only while in sight. Keep away from drafts, children, pets, and all flammable materials.
• Observe Burn Duration – Do not burn for more than three hours at a time. During the initial burn, allow the wax to melt fully across the surface to prevent tunnelling.
• Mind Your Placement – Always place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
• Extinguish with Intention – Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame. Never use water.
• Know When to Retire – Discontinue use when approximately ¼ inch of wax remains.
• Inspect the Glass – Immediately discontinue use if the vessel becomes cracked, chipped, or excessively hot.
Important: Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, personal injury, or property damage.
